The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Annetta Baker can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolences

Condolence From: Tim Coleman
Condolence: Bill and family, your mother is the reason I became an English teacher. She was a true mentor in that sense, and I had the pleasure of returning to Blue Springs to teach with her for several years. I had a hard time calling her Annetta, but she insisted because she said calling her Mrs. Baker made her feel old. I cannot fully express what your mother meant to me as a student and colleague. She was a true gift to education. I am back teaching after retiring once, and will retire again in a year or two, but I have mentioned Annetta to my students many times over the years. I will always remember her contribution to my career and life in general. Tim Coleman
