Print
Carol Hamilton Butler, 84, Blue Springs, MO passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at her home with her daughter Cyndi by her side. Visitation at Speaks Suburban Chapel, Independence, 10:00am- 12:00pm, Saturday, Nov 24, 2018. Carol was born on April 22, 1934 to Bertha L. (Parker) and Clarence A. Heater. She attended Blue Springs High School. She married James A. Hamilton and spent her life raising and nurturing her family. She was an accomplished piano, organ, guitar and auto harp player and loved attending Bluegrass Festivals. She was a skilled seamstress, making everything from her daughters’ play clothes to their wedding dresses. She painted, quilted, crocheted, and had an artistic flare. She and Jim loved to scuba dive, snorkel in the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean – which was a yearly destination. In her later years, she married William Butler and continued her love of all things family. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Donald Heater, sister Patricia Heater, and her first and second husband James Hamilton and William Butler. She leaves her loving family, each truly blessed to have had her: daughters Marci Martin of Independence, MO, Carol Hall of Stockton, MO, and Cyndi Hamilton of Blue Springs, MO; grandchildren Michael Martin, Mark Whitt, Mathew Martin, David Whitt, and Jackie Quick; great-grandchildren Dixie Woodward, Skyler Martin, Kendra Whitt, Samantha Quick, and Ty Turney; and great-great-grandchildren Zoey and Ian Woodward.
